Privacy policy
The short version: we store what is needed to run the service, we deliberately do not store what would let us identify an individual visitor, and we do not sell anything to anyone.
If you have an account
We hold your email address, your name if you give one, a hash of your password (never the password itself), your plan, and the links, tags and QR codes you create. We also keep a record of your active sessions so you can see and revoke them in Settings.
When someone clicks one of your links
This is the part most link shorteners are vague about, so to be specific. The edge worker receives the visitor's request headers, and before anything is written we reduce them to:
- a device class — desktop, mobile or tablet
- a browser family and operating system
- the referring host, not the full referring URL
- a country, derived at the edge
The raw user agent is never stored. A stored click cannot be used to fingerprint an individual visitor, and we cannot tell you which specific person clicked a link, because we do not know.
IP addresses
We never store a raw IP address. For rate limiting and abuse handling we store a hash that combines the address with a secret and the current date, so the same visitor produces a different value tomorrow. It cannot be reversed into an address.
How long it is kept
Click history is retained for as long as your plan allows — 30 days on Free, a year on Starter, and without limit on Scale. Links and their totals are kept until you delete them.
Who else sees it
We use processors to run the service: a database host, a cache and rate-limit provider, a hosting platform, and Google Safe Browsing to check destinations before they are saved. They process data on our instructions. We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for advertising.
Cookies
We set a session cookie when you sign in, and remember your light or dark theme choice in your browser's local storage. There are no advertising or third-party tracking cookies on this site.
Your choices
You can export or correct your details from Settings, and delete your account at any time. Note that deleting an account does not delete the short links you created — they stay live and become anonymous, so URLs you have already shared do not break. Disable them first if you want them gone.
